COVID-19 UPDATES

Due to the pandemic, all of my offerings will be online only at this time. If you are interested in working with me for yoga, I am happy to teach private lessons over Zoom or another video platform of your choice. I can also film customized guided yoga and meditation videos for you to use as often as you'd like. I am also offering online private group classes for a special price of $55 for groups of 2-4, and $10 for each additional person. If you already have a group formed, please email me to set up a time. I will customize the class entirely to your needs and desires. If you do not have a group formed but would like to be put on a list of others looking for a group, please reach out and I will try to find you a group! I may also offer some public Zoom classes and workshops in the near future, so please check back to stay updated.

PRIVATE SESSIONS

Private yoga sessions can be an amazing way to begin or deepen your practice. While group classes are wonderful, it is impossible for a teacher to address each student’s individual needs in that setting. With private sessions, I tailor each class to your specific body, goals, and desires. If for any reason you don’t feel comfortable in a class setting, or you feel you would benefit from individualized instruction, private sessions can be a fantastic option.


Everyone deserves to have yoga classes that are not simply doable, but that feel amazing. I happily make modifications for people’s injuries and physical limitations, and I love designing classes to meet specific goals (such as managing anxiety, helping with chronic pain, helping athletes with flexibility, etc.).

I believe that yoga has something to offer everyone, and it is my goal to help individuals discover how they can get the most out of their practice.

YOGA FOR MENTAL HEALTH

Yoga has powerful healing benefits for people with mental health challenges. It can provide not only temporary relief from anxiety, but also long-term tools and skills to help us cope with (and reduce) anxiety in our daily lives. It can help us learn to identify patterns of rumination and more quickly transition to more helpful thought patterns. It can boost confidence and teach us to love and accept ourselves. It can help us increase energy levels when we don't feel like leaving bed. It can help us turn off our "fight or flight" mode and find total relaxation. It can help us release traumas stored in the body and move toward a place of healing. It can help us learn to stay in the present and find greater contentment in our daily lives. It can help us improve concentration and regulate our energy. It can teach us to find body peace and acceptance. It can even alter our neurochemistry. 

I love combining my passions for yoga and psychology through my work in yoga for mental health. Together, we will create a yoga practice that will meet you where you are and help you find peace and healing. In all of our sessions, you will be in the driver's seat-- whether you'd like to learn some techniques to help manage specific symptoms, talk through practical strategies for adding these practices into your daily routine, be led through a personalized yoga class, or find a combination of all three -- you call the shots. I am also very happy to collaborate with your mental health provider if you would find that beneficial.

YOGA FOR CANCER AND CHRONIC ILLNESS

Numerous studies have demonstrated the benefits of yoga for people with cancer and chronic illness. Yoga poses, breathing exercises, and meditation have been shown to help with symptoms such as nausea, fatigue, anxiety, depression, physical and psychological stress, chronic pain, sleep disturbance, and mobility challenges. Regular yoga can also help improve lymphatic movement, balance, strength, flexibility, breathing, and mood. 

I am passionate about bringing yoga to people with cancer and chronic illness because I personally experienced profound reduction in chronic pain, fatigue, disordered sleep, and chronic stress through yoga. It changed my life, and I am thrilled to be able to bring this practice to others.

I lead both private and group sessions, and the sessions will be completely customized to your needs. I strive to make yoga accessible to everyone, so if you would like to practice from a bed or a wheelchair, I am more than happy to tailor to that. We can practice with as much or as little movement as you'd like. I understand that symptoms can change without warning, so I strive to make each session supportive to your needs on any given day.

I also understand that getting out the door can be difficult, so if you would like to practice from the comfort of your home, I am happy to make home visits!

YOGA FOR KIDS AND TEENS

I LOVE working with kids and teens! In today's busy, stressful, and technology-obsessed world, children and teenagers need some intentional time to unplug and give their minds a rest. Beyond providing some healthy quiet time, yoga can help kids with concentration in school, energy management, stress and anxiety, confidence, and so much more. 

I trained with Kidding Around Yoga to learn to teach age-appropriate classes to kids from pre-school to high school. I am happy to work privately (either one-on-one or in small groups) or to collaborate with schools or other organizations for large-group classes. Feel free to contact me to discuss options!

I am passionate about sharing yoga however I can! If you have an idea for a yoga event that you would like to book me for, I am open to anything! I am available for corporate yoga, retreats, bachelorette/bachelor parties, couple's yoga, small or large group classes, or most other yoga events you could dream up! Please contact me for pricing.

It is my dream that yoga be affordable for anyone who seeks it. In an attempt to give more people access to my offerings, I have a sliding scale program for clients who cannot afford my normal fees. Please contact me for more information.
